Forged Forest captures the experience of the sublime pre-industrial natural landscape of this area at the threshold of its intersection with industry. This large sculptural gateway element playfully inverts this relationship by utilizing weathered I-beams, a standard industrial element, and conforming them into the natural organic shapes and patterns found within an old growth cedar tree.
