Fluid Movement is inspired by the relationship between West Oregon University’s historic Wolverton Memorial Swimming Pool and a newly planted rain garden. Marking a connection between old and new, inside and outside, the sculpture playfully references the function of both spaces as repositories for water while metaphorically exploring their potential contribution to concept of health, both as an extension of self as well as of the built environment.
