Capturing the View is a composition of three sculptural, tree-like towers that reach upward and outward toward Vancouver’s most coveted vistas: the mountains, the park, and the water. Each artwork draws these distant landscapes inward, absorbing them into its core as luminous, coloured panoramas. At the same time, the sculptures’ reflective outer skins mirror their immediate surroundings, creating a dialogue between the intimacy and significance of the local urban context and the beauty of the desired, yet often unattainable, views beyond.
